I’ve been using TeleVue eyepieces for over 10 years now. The TeleVue Nagler 20mm was the first eyepiece I ever purchased separate from a telescope. It provides an amazing 82* apparent field of view. This is really wide in case you’ve never looked through one. To make the point, you can not see both sides of the eyepiece as you look through it. You can see the left side, and an amazing expanse to the right, but you can not see the right side at the same time. Al Nagler (creator of the Nagler design as well as founder of TeleVue) refers to this as the “space walk” experience. It is quite the experience to crawl inside one of these eyepieces and take in all the photons that your telescope is capable of capturing.
As time went on, I purchased a number of other Naglers as well as other TeleVue designs. My suite of eyepieces currently ranges from a 3mm Nagler all the way up to a 40mm TeleVue Plossl. I have a handful of eyepieces from other brands, but have been so happy with the Televues that I’ve simply not ventured outside of my comfort zone.
